I would like to know the spring-like sound effect used at 1:33-1:35
I think it's a slap bass type of sound from a YM2612 sound chip. This chip was used in the Sega Genesis/Megadrive. There are free VSTi emulators of this chip out there. One is called YM2612, another is called Genny.
Yup. apparently Genny and YM2612 are by the same people, and Genny is the successor.
It's pretty similar to the sound of this, right? This is a track I made with the same slap bass sound. https://soundcloud.com/sonic_kitchen/mmmc001-jellion-the-shopkeeper
Thank you all for the information about the sound effect/plug-in.
I appreciate the link, too! Thanks, klankbeeld
