I am a brand newbie..............great project, by the way.
I'm am looking for samples of wheezy cheap organs.....bad old circus or carnival organs..........distorted rhodes.......out of tune old pianos................music boxes.................toy pianos..................glass harmonica (crystal wine goblets) and anything acoustic, ethereal, childlike and strange.
I also am interested in any unusual bass sounds (Sentir,Dousoungoni, Bass Balalaikas, Bass Kalimbas, Guitarrons or any found or invented instruments in the bass register).
I have zillions of really good electronic drum sounds, drum machine sounds and drum and percussion sounds if you are interested.
I just uploaded a set of about 50 Exotic Electronic Percussion samples from my collection
Nice to be here.
yours, Rick Walker

Hey Bram,
I'm so new here: in the links you gave me, is there a way I can check several files at once and download them all at the same time?
As an example, the music box samples (which I made a little piece with the randomness of the different loop times and will try to upload for your amusement)
has a whole lot of individual samples and will take a long time to download.
The grandmother piano is another example. It says it is part of a "Grandmither (sic) pack but the title is cut off and I'm not sure how to discover where it is.
Nothing came up under a search for either grandmother or grandmither.
I'm confused.
hey rick,
for all the samples that are in packs there's a link on the page for each sample.
for example, on
http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=11671
you can find a link to the pack:
http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/packsViewSingle.php?id=621
and the pack you can download in one go.
For other random samples you can't download more than one at a time, because it would stress the server too much (the packs are already quite difficult to handle...), so you'll have to download them one by one. But, have a look at the collection of packs there is on the site:

At the bottom of this page (where it says the thing about akai instruments) are some great samples of toy pianos, etc...they are technically made to be used with akai samplers (I think they include an .akp file), but the samples in the folders should just be regular .wavs!
