Hey there, I'm looking for a kick drum similar to that of the one used in Marilyn Manson's "Killing Strangers".
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lOUMyh_bpRE
Been trying to recreate this kick for quite some time now and have been attempting to layer different kicks, knocks, and door slams together. But I'm still struggling. I'm looking for any sounds licensed under creative commons license, on here, that are similar to the kick in this song and that have a good bit of rattle to it. If anyone could help me take a crack at this, I would be so very appreciative!!!
ON A SIDE NOTE:
From my understanding this songs bends the rules a little bit. As we know, traditionally a kick is commonly placed dead centered and sits mono in a mix (sometimes with a stereo fx plugin then applied to it for width) But in this song, I hear one main kick almost centered but slightly panned to the left, and then I hear rattles/knocks of the kick. I believe there are two tracks panned hard left and hard right to create this effect. Is this correct?

There's an AI project where you can input a simple kick drum or other drum sound and it will make 3 similar ones. Do it again and again. Can't remember the name. Guy on youtube was talking about it.
You're probably talking about the project by Audiolab; "Synapse Drums"?
I've listened the the song a lot before but never really tried to replicate it but it's a cool sound, lots of low end and sustain. I tried to replicate it the best I could in a short time. I started with a sample of a vintage ludwig kick, eq'd out some highs, and mixed in a subby kick for extra lows(an 808 might work well too. As of the stereo sound I compressed the room sound, added saturation and did some minor eq. I'm hearing a little wobble after the hit can can't tell if that some modulation but by doing what I did theres a little something kind of similar. I have the full stereo example and the broken down parts of what I did if you needed them or wanted to play with the balance. Hope it helps.
