I'm looking for a record scratch sound that's pretty common sudden transition.
You know, like when something very lighthearted and casual is being played, then all the sudden there's a loud record screeching sound, and then something loud and obnoxious starts playing? It's kind of the "Whoa! Stop the music!" with everything screeching to a halt type sound.
Hope that makes sense.
Anyway, anybody know where I can find something like that?
There is one on here somewhere, just not tagged well enough apparently because I cannot find it. It's a really good one like the one from "Earache my Eye" by Cheech & Chong... a true classic. Look through the sample packs... I think it's part of turntable noises or something, I think it's on my hard drive somewhere... will let you know if I find it... keep looking!
Hey I have a sample of a needle scratching a record at a party.
Its a pretty abrubt sound, may be what your looking for. I cant
upload it on this site because I dont own the rights but I can E-mail
it to you if you want it. Im sure I have others.
Let me know.
I'm hunting the same thing. Like this ...

but much longer and jarring.
You might also try looking for "tape stops", or create one yourself with a vst such as this.
i just uploaded these...
