It seems to me that kick/bass drums are the most valuable in drum packs... they are the rarest, hardest to mic, and hardest to come by. Which is the best kick drum (hard, preferrably for trance) that is on FreeSound?? Also, does anyone know of a sample pack where the majority of the sounds are kick drums??
Thanks,
~Andy
Here is one of several "hard" bassdrum samples from a bassdrum sample pack I just uploaded.
(Bassdrum Programming - Nordrack 2).

I'll be adding some more kicks to this pack in the near future,..

I just added 50 bass drum kicks. mostly quite hard and deep, some with distortion and all put through a tube compressor to beef them up a bit.
check em out here:-........
Thanks for the new kicks and bd's djgriffin. nice one. Just to let you know a recording tip. Bass frequencies are omnidirectional, that means they come from everywhere, so recording kicks in stereo has no advantage. in fact it is an advantage to record in mono, because the stereo signals of the synths add together and will give you 3db more output on te mono channel.... more kick and pow.
