Hi, im looking for the two tone airplane sound you get when the cabin crew are about to address you, it is a higher pitched sound followed by a lower, sort of like "bing bong", it is quite a unique sound and door bells don't sound like it.

Yes, it's quite recognisable and startling when you hear it out of context, like I recently did on some music track in the framework podcast [www.resonancefm.com/framework/].
I'd say, next time you take a plane, ignore the recommendation to switch off any electronic equipment, and keep your recorder running!
Actually, if you do a search on this website, you will find this sound for sure. I remember there is one around and if I'm not mistaken it is recorded by Bram (or maybe I'm wrong). The search function is quite sophisticated, so you should be able to find it.
