Hi Mr M,
I note you are using Audacity, it has a frequency analysis feature, *.
You can then compare the frequency content of your recordings with those of other recordings, (say a professional recording of guitar from a CD), and modify the frequency content of your recording to match using Audacitys equaliser, [ see Audacity Effect, Equalization].
BTW frequencies below 20Hz are inaudible, IMO signals in that range only cause problems so should be attenuated to a low level, (say below -60dB).
[ * I suggest setting the frequency Axis in the Audacity Frequency Analysis graph to the log(arithmic) scale. ]
