vocal sample from freesounds > LS posted up african vocal here> http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=7206
the other track has no samples in it but have a listen anyway
Yeah that's common...
I posted my Amnesia song about 2 weeks ago and no one has replied still. I'll check your song out and tell you what I think.
Ok I just had a listen and I think it's pretty good. You did a good job with it and I like the way you cut up the african vocals and added the delay to it. I think the ambient pads need to be a little more prominent, or have some more bright pads to make it a bit more interesting. I'm not saying it's not interesting I'm just saying it can be MORE interesting. I'll try to find a sample that will explain what I mean...
Here's one...and I made it!

Maybe with some added reeverb and maybe a bit of chorus (not too much) and a medium volume it should fit well.
Just a suggestion.
Nice song though
hey thanks alot for taking the time mate. I will check out yours when I get my connection fixed at home.
thanks for the suggestion.
I actually think it's a very busy peice, I like space in my tunes. Lets you focus on the details of the rythem, which this track has alot of with all the static/precusive clicks and whatnot. The style of dubstep is really the vein I'm mostly sitting in, which if you are farmiliar with, is very minimal, heaps of space. The philosophy is less is more. some people can't find the feel for it though. For the genre, this is ultra busy. Infact, I'm trying to teach myself to excersize some more restraint and be more minimal. huhu.
Always interesting to hear what different people think, though. Shows how different we all are with music and that can't be a bad thing.
The 320 version sounds alot brighter than this low qual stream, brings out the detail in the clicks and precusion alot more, and the mind tends to hear that as the rythem more than the big kick and snare that don't change much in comparison to the clicks which have just about every parameter being modulated as the song progresses, with random rolls and fills etc.
cheers mate!
