Childrens game I created using sounds from here and a little I made on my own:
The games look very good. Lot of fun.
In the video I see at 2.14 seconds a credit-list that 'just' credits freesound.org, and not the users who made the sounds
I guess the games are not ready now
succes with the games. Great job
Yeah sorry to whom ever made the sound. I fell its better to credit the entire site as a whole vs. just one person. That everyone gets credit for helping vs. just one or two people. I mean with out this site, those people may of not been imspired by others to make those sounds. so just seemed better overall to credit the site + everyone overall. If the orginal creators wants credit as well, no problem just post your name and I'll add it. BTW the game is "for sale". I say "for sale" because right now its free when you signup for it on my website forums. Its basicly my X-Mas gift to registered site members on my website.

if you want a free copy of this software or other software products. We also welcome small business owners as well to post and advertise as well on the forums if they wish. Might be a good way for you guys to sell some music or something.

This is the world upsite down. How does anyone know that his/her sound is in one of your 'commercial' games?
I think it is a good idea that you send all the uploaders of the sounds a privat mail.

Hello mholmes3038
We apreciate you using Freesound sounds in your game and vertainly apreciate credit being given to the Freesound site.
However, most users uploading sound to the site require credit if their sound is used. Some say so explicitly, but even if they don't but their samples are posted under any license terms other than "creative commons 0", attribution is required.
I don't think no-one will sue you if you don't
However, these people have spent time creating/recording/editing/posting and describing these sounds... only to provide them for you for free. The least you can do, is honot their request and give attribution as requested.
You already have a credits screen, so should be very easy to add the uploader's names in addition to Freesound.
If you don't remember what the sound name was or who uploaded it. Don't feel embarassed: that is a common problem! (I speak from experience! LOOL). That is why Freesound has a very useful feature: press the home tab, you will find there, 4th line from the top "•Attribution - the sounds you downloaded" - press here for the full list of everything you ever downloaded from Freesound. I am sure you will quickly identify the sounds you have used, and you will have right there on screen all the info you need to give attribution.
I strongly encourage you to send a private message to the uploaders of the sounds you have used or to leave a comment on those samples with a link to where they have been used.
Not only people will be happy and even a bit proud their sounds have been used, this is also free publicity for your game and website.
More importantly, many users here are really helpfull people. One day you may be looking for a sound... can't find it on the Freesound database... and you post a "sample request" in the forums. - I bet then you will be glad you made all those friends at Freesound!
I'm sorry did think of it that way, i'll correct the credits screen ASAP.
