Hi everyone, hope you're all well.

I just wanted to quickly make a post about my latest contribution to SoundShoots (under my musical alias Filthy Temples), which is a track that tries to captivate the half-dream, half-reality state that we find ourselves in whilst drifting off to sleep.

The track uses freesound user dobroide's sample "Outdoor party" to set the atmosphere of the piece, alongside my own guitar recordings (including parts using an e-bow) and a midi controlled synth. The voices of the party then fade as the track enters the dream state. After a little dreaming the track then slowly returns to a reality state.

Good job on this.
A suggestion: Why don't you add some more of a rhythmic section towards the end of the song? A pop drum kit would sit well, but I'm only surmising.
I specially like the part where the guitar just glides down to a note, like a portmanteau would do in synths -- that was very nicely done!

Yeah, I think a rhythmic part towards the end would work well, a sort of rhythmic 'wake up' from the dream state.

I'm now working on a new piece but if I have time I'll try and experiment with the ending a little.

Nice! And it's like in a real dream, it doesn't help trying to listen better, they fade away, haha.

Your music sounds very inspired. Sounds like you only need to get into the vibes of something and it turns into music, a sonic work of art. For example Grandfather's Clock, I almost see it when I listen to it.
The songs where the guitar is prominent I like best, especially Green and Blue! Sounds like you're a famous person there, based on merit. I guess this song would lend itself very well for an extended version.

I wonder about the synthesized drum sounds in 2 of your songs (not the base drums but the higher ones). They don't really sound embedded in the rest of the song (no acoustics, and strictly computerized). Synthesized drum sounds are far less detailed than real sounds so they usually need some toying around with (slight offsets in timing, volume, trying to match the acoustics of other sounds) to let them be more embedded in a song, they don't mix automatically when you also use real sounds. Depends on what's your idea of course.
