Hi everyone, hope you're all well.
I just want to share with you my latest contribution to SoundShoots called "Urban Bedlam", which I created in response to SoundShoots' 'Chaos' theme.
The inspiration for this piece came from freesound sample "Chaos" by turonkusu. In this sample you hear chaos, rioting and bedlam in the streets, so I wanted to create a piece that emphasized these senses. To begin with I started off with a beat repeating synth tone to which I added a clicking rhythm before bringing in my own live guitar recordings. The pulse of the piece then builds, guitar octaves raise to build the sense of panic/confusion before the piece winds down to an uncertain end with the sirens still sounding... The track can be streamed at http://www.soundshoots.com/artist/filthy-temples/track/443 I hope you enjoy and please feel free to post any feedback/reaction that you have to the piece!
Thanks all
Oliver
