Hi everyone, hope you're well.
I would like to share with you a track that I made in response to the theme 'Metropolis' on SoundShoots. The track contains a number of freesounds (see below) and the general style of the track is a little different to what I normally create, and I would love to take on board any feedback for it. The track can be streamed at http://www.soundshoots.com/artist/filthy-temples/track/533 and the description is...
Description: With this track I wanted to captivate the vibe of journeying around the metropolis on a Sunday. Strolling past leisurely traffic, having coffee, riding the tube and visiting the park is the rough story behind this track. My immediate association with Metropolis also gave me visions of the cities in the far east, so I also wanted to give this track a very slight eastern feel (in parts), which I attempted by tuning some of the live guitar recordings up an octave. In addition to the live guitar recordings, the track is further made up of midi piano and synth recordings as well as a number of freesounds; from users "geradcatala", "fonogeno", "3bagbrew", "jerome-moinet", "sphion", "reinsamba", "unfa" and "leandros".
Hope you enjoy and I look forward to reading any comments
Oliver
Hi Weezbo, I'm really pleased to hear that you liked the track! To hear that you found it cohesive is really encouraging because I find it a challenge to blend different sounds and instruments together as one, so to hear that is great! Thanks again
