Hi everybody,

my name is Andreas from ufxmedia UG, Germany, and we made the Demosong "Florida Retribution" of our new Android App uFXloops completely with Freesound samples and completely with the uFXloops App (no mastering, etc.). I personally thanked all users of Freesound who contributed to this, and they are named in the Youtube video that we made and from their responses I realized how proud they are to be part of it.

Further I would like to use this chance, if I am allowed, to make a big announcement.
Our Free App will go Live in July 2014. And for Android users it could be what we all missed so much. A sample based music production App, with a ton of freedom for creativity. If you have an Android device, take some minutes to watch the tutorials and get the idea.

And we will also start with a Community, where you can upload and download sounds, directly connected to our App. This is why I would like to communicate some words to the Freesound Community, and tell everybody here that we respect and adore the Freesound community and all their users. We are musicians and programmers who had an idea. And this idea would have been groundless without the idea of Freesound and Creative Commons.
Our aim is to support Freesound where we can, and we have not in mind to draw Freesound users away from their Freesound platform. Instead we will motivate all our future users to actively use Freesound.org to upload their authored audio material and then reference it, to strenghten the Freesound community.

Further we will start with approximately 600 handselected sounds, downloaded from Freesound, licensed under the Creative Commons Zero license, that we manually edited and tagged to fit to the format that our App needs. Our uploaders can earn coins when others download their uploaded sounds, and these coins can then be used for further downloads. Though we are not obliged to do that, we offer all legitimate freesound users who are the original authors of these 600 initial sounds, that we reassign these samples to them as uploaders if they like to use our App and community. This is done with all the respect to these original authors.

I will make a full list of these sounds in the upcoming days and weeks, and also will prepare a link in our News section on our webpage. I cannot promise to reply immediately if you have any questions, because we are very busy at the moment, but I will try.
