Some sounds in this mix are available on freesound. I’m still no more than a modular noob, but it’s fun. I don’t regret (usually not) turning toward modular.

.
Tonto had a monster synth set up! How did they finance that! Someone was rich – good for us. Now we can enjoy their music and piooneership.
The switch to modular synth wasn’t easy. Now I understand that having a modular synth is a process. In many ways the modular community has a “depressing” side that seems to focus on buying, collecting and showing off. I turned to modular because its relatively compact hardware and I want to keep it compact and family friendly. And my goal is to make some kind of music with it. The instrument should be without external input, like MIDI. The modular, and my choice of modules, affects my sound and possibilities.
Putting together “mixtapes” are a nice way to record your progress.
Modular are like boats. People with smaller boats seem to use them a lot more and have fun. Big boats stay in the marina.
I hope no one takes offence of what I’m writing…
And thanks for listening
