Hi,

I tried to post a message with links, but they said I had to do one post without links first, so here it is! My name is Mohan Embar and I wrote a cool program using 70+ snippets from sounds obtained from freesound.org. I entered it in a programming contest and hope you'll vote for it. More details in the next message....

I have entered a programming contest and badly need your vote to win. There are no gimmicks, no money involved, and you don't need to submit personal information. The program is browser-based, so you don't even need to download or install anything.

Unlike most of the other contest entries which have no sound, my entry uses over beautiful 70 sound snippets from sounds I obtained from freesound.org. (The description line didn't leave enough room for credits, but I put a link to the credits in my first comment as well as on my own website.)

What's more, even though this is a Microsoft contest, I love OS X and Linux and have written identical versions of this program for these platforms. (The Linux version doesn't have sound - if anyone wants to help with this, I'll gladly accept. These versions are freeware: http://www.thisiscool.com/triangle.htm)

These sound snippets have greatly enhanced my entry and after scouring the web in vain, I'm grateful I stumbled upon freesound.org.

Thanks so much! I'm very proud of my entry because it packs graphics, animation, sound and artificial intelligence into a 10K program. Some other entries may be flashier, but none of the other entries has an Artificial Intelligence algorithm which does something like compute the solvability of the puzzle from any position.
