Haven't been here for well over a year but thought I'd drop by after something I heard when listening to Spotify earlier.
So Co-Op (large-ish chain of supermarkets in the UK) have an audio advert on Spotify (music streaming) about there being a 3 for 2 offer on their pizzas and garlic bread. And it's accompanied by a series of doorbell/knocking sounds. And guess what the first sound is?
That's right, one of my recordings!
Specifically, Doorbell A.(http://freesound.org/people/kwahmah_02/sounds/275072/
and a load of others I don't recognise and probably aren't on freesound.
I'll have to be honest, they should have picked something else. The sound in particular is a horrible pitch shifted and shortened version of(http://freesound.org/people/kwahmah_02/sounds/275070/ and even then the sound quality is horrendous being recorded on my iPhone in a long hallway with the mic pointing away from the chime.
Still, one man's trash is another man's treasure...
Before you set the lawyers on them, one ding-dong door-chime does sound very like another ...
