Dear Freesound Foolios,
My 2nd feature film is almost done, and thanks to you guys I think
it's going to rock. When I first started trying a couple sounds
from this site in the sound mix, I contacted a couple members
individually and I promised DVD copies when I was done.
I've since used so many of your sounds, I can't afford to send out
as many copies as it would take! My apologies, indie film being
what it is. But you guys are part of what help to make indie film
awesome. With no money, you can still just use the old brain and
suck data out of the whirlwind to concoct nightmares
The film is rather nightmarish, which is an old favorite film
flavor of mine. And there were lots of good coolio flavors to
choose from here! The story is old friends get together one night,
and it soon becomes clear their cocktail party is really a cult
meeting, where one of them will be viciously destroyed.
I want to single out hammerklavier for thanks, as his is some of
the coolest and weirdest stuff up here with a classical bent, which
works great for film! Hammerklavier, I can't remember any more if
I ever e-mailed you or not, because I'm going crazy, but you kick
ass all over frickin' town and then some. I salute you.
Still editing, but will be sending off to festivals in about a
month. Wish me luck!
If you want to find out what happens to my film, stay tuned to
www.robindunn.com and I promise to have a link to the film web site
soon (it doesn't exist yet!). If you're curious, there are some
stills from the set up here:

The truth is that I've mixed, matched, mismatched and remixed all
of your files so often, that some of them are probably
unrecognizable, as is natural. But I have of course included you
all in the credits, those of you whose sounds I used (and there are
probably 50 or more of you), so there's a nice long list at the end
of the film.
Thanks again!
Cheers,
Robin Dunn
