My Amazing Reverie is a 14-minute fantasy-based narration supported by numerous audio clips obtained from freesound.org (excepting one and its public domain). The product consists of:
1) a script containing credits to the individual freesound clips used and
2) an MP3 file of the actual composition.
The script and audio composition was compiled by sanus_excipio (Stephen G. Bayer Sr.). The narration is by Katelyn Kees. The script (provided as an htlm file) also contains credits/citations for all Creative Commons License sound files used therein. Katie and I did this project for entertainment. However, since there was extensive use of "freesounds", keeping track of what sounded like what and quality-checking the accuracy of the citations of those used was a bit of a chore. It was quite a multi-tracking experience. Also. many of the sounds used were edited in one way or other. For example, a number of mono sounds were converted to stereo and edited to pan from left to right. All was well worth the effort. Katie enjoyed all the sounds and I appreciated having them available to use. Here's a salute to the many sound artists and technologists we have here and a thank you for providing the sounds to the world.
