Here's a cover of Metallica's "Fade to Black" using the drum and cymbal samples I uploaded recently. I used Sonar 4 + the Cyclone midi sequencer for the drums. All other instruments played by me.
Equipment used:
Sonar 4 Producer (WinXP)
Alesis MultiMix 16 FireWire
Ibanez RG120 guitar
Ibanez SR405 bass
Pod XT Live

The sounds of your packs are really good !!. I've heard the song (a very worked version) and I think that the drum track is lacking of humanism in some places during the song. I mean that although the sounds are real acoustic sounds, the play can be humanized with these details:
a.Fills like those that are in 1:20, or the snare in 02:02 or 3:25. Adjust the velocity of the beats to give a human feeling. If the velocity is the same in all beats then sounds like a tommy gun.
b.You can use 'ghost' notes specially with the snare. A master of ghost notes was John Bonham, Led Zeppelin drummer.
c.In 00:44 to 00:46 you play the same cymbal in groups of two beats (plas, plas). The second plas quiet the first totally and that not occurs in a real cymbal. If you load the same sound in two notes the problem dissapears (the mute group option disabled to these sounds).
I enjoyed the listening. This song demostrates that your sounds are in a high level.
Pitx.
Thanks for your comments. I'll keep them in mind for later on. I really just wanted to quickly create a sample song recorded using
the sounds I uploaded to give an example of how they might sound in a song. These samples are mostly used for practicing guitar
between band practices so I don't put a lot of effort into them.
Very well done! The drums are very good. I like it when at 5:40 the double bass comes in, unlike many drum computers (and real drummers using triggers) it sounds very natural! The crashes and cymbals in the first part (w/ clean guitars), however, sound a bit unnatural because one can hear too well that these are samples, i.e. exact copies. But overall: well done!
