G'day
my first post
I made some atmospheric/dubstep/glitchy track to suit the mood of a lovley stormy afternoon a few weeks ago.
It needed a vocal sample to seal the deal, so freesoundproject to the rescue, I added one of LS's african singing samples >> http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=7206 < specifically that one.
you can download the track here

comments, criticisms and pats on the back appreciated
thanks alot for having a listen and replying LG . The repetative nature is kinda inherent in the style I guess, alot of the tunes in a similar vein that I take influence from are like that, even more so I'd say.
plus, I don't think I can be bothered redoing it, I get bored easily with my tunes. huhuh. But if i get a few more people saying this, i might change it up a bit more.
I've got another dubstep tune almost done, less repetative, more layers, heavier vibe, much more accessable I guess. Doesent have that glitch electronica feel to the drums, more straight up tribal like precussion. I'll post it up when mastering is done.
thanks again
this forum is very quiet isnt it... :?

Sure, that's right and it's not a bad thing at all. It's just that I like those songs tha slowly morph to different themes - to a degree that the listener doesn't realise it until he compares the intro with the outro and finds out that it has changed. Still your song is very cool so please post more if you got some!

Hmm, not extremely busy indeed... but the level of discussion is much higher than on most other internet forums!
thats what happens with yousendit -type places. After awhile they take the stuff offline again. Luckily there is also ccmixter
