28-Oct-2013 the South of the United Kingdom experienced some hurricane speed winds, something quite unnusual in the UK and not seen for many years.
The storm was going to hit our area in the early hours of monday. I kept my Zoom H1 recorder next to my bed and when the winds picked up I put it on the window seal.
Unfortunately I had set the recording volume too low, so I had to amplify the recordings in Audacity by over 40dB. There is quite a bit of hiss, but you can still hear the wind noises.
