Tuesday 7-Jun-2016, massive thunderstorms swept through the United Kingdom.
It is rare to get a thunderstorm that is so close and so violent. Some of the thunders in this recording were so loud they clipped a bit on the recording (sorry!). IT really was ground-shaking...
I made this recording with my Zoom H1.
At the start of the recording you can hear me walking away after I have started the recorder. There was a thunder going on, so I waited for that to fade before moving so I did not spoil the recording.
At some point I am also taking photos with my camera. You can hear the servo of the auto-focus, the beeps it makes and the actual camera shutter. Because there was enough delay between the lightnings which I was photographing and the thunder , my photographic activities should not have spoiled the recording of the thunder sounds...
