Left my zoom h1n on shores of the St. Mary's River to record the nocturnal sounds of the river & forest wildlife. Occasional you'll hear the faint low hum of a distant freighter going up the north channel a few miles away near the Canadian side of the delta. It's a very rural area, Michigan's upper peninsula has a population of 1 person per square mile. The St. Marys River connects Lake Superior & Lake Huron. 90% of all the steal in the USA passes through this delta.
