Traffic signal and tram ride, Brunswick East to Fitzroy, January 2023

This tram ride was recorded around 10:30pm January 2023 on Nicholson Street, Brunswick East to Fitzroy. It was a pleasant Summer evening. At the beginning I am recording a traffic signal. A tram arrives and I run to catch it. I enter the tram, sit in the middle seats and record for three stops. Then I move near the door and record for another three stops. At one point there's a very loud announcement after which I lower to gain slightly. I get off the tram and record as it pulls away.

The tram was a newer model with regular announcements. You can hear the air conditioning, the bell and the wheels on the track. It's a weeknight so there are very few people on the tram and they don't make much noise.

The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a Zoom H5 portable recorder.
