This recording is an interview I did with my late Grandmother -Griet Teurekens de Jong- on the 13th of November 2011. Grandma left us in march 2013, she passed away in peace. In this interview I ask my grandma about her life, life during the war, family, how she met her husband (whom I never knew), ... My grandma's voice had changed due to a previous stroke and she sounds a bit "raw" in the recording, but none-the-less it's quite emotional for me to hear it. It was recorded on my Sony PCM-D50 running on some half-empty batteries which I had to switch mid-way. I'm uploading the recordings "as is" as I want to keep the originals before I edit them. It's terrible to hear myself, I'm such a goofball, but this needs to be saved for my grandma and family's sake! My heavily accented dutch is very local (I.e. from Ghent, Belgium) and my grandma has a difficult to localize nice accent (perhaps slightly northern-eastern/eastern belgian). The recording contains 3 parts (due to the switching of batteries), this is part 2.
