I have been involved in sound design since the early 90's starting on analogue and progressing (as tech and budget would allow) into the digital age. I have been involved in the voice acting community (off and on) since 2002 where I provided voice and sound effects for a number of audio drama podcasts and games.
This all ended abruptly in 2008 when a very good friend of mine (and podcasting partner for isotope audio), sadly died of medical complications arising from lymphoma. As a result I lost my taste for audio for about 10 years.
More recently I have been missing the life I used to lead, and look forward to taking Isotope from the memorial it has unfortunately become to the living, vibrant comedy (with occasional dalliances into the dramatic) site it used to be.
I will be posting personally recorded sound effects and will be mixing some of your wonderful work into derivative works of my own for Isotope. It is a pleasure to be here and to find myself once again in the company of like minded individuals, I look forward to working with as many of you as possible. Help grow the site whilst (due to creative commons accreditation) enabling us all to reach the audience our work so richly deserves. Ladies, Gentlemen it is a pleasure? No an honour to take my place among such selfless audiophiles such as yourselves.
I record using mainly a DR-100MK2 using the in built stereo pair but I have a few SENNHEISER shotguns squirrelled away for other work.
If I use your sound effect in any production of mine I will, of course check the CC licence first and if it is compatible with the free to listen ethos of IsotopeAudio provide you with a link. All effects will be credited "in audio" as well as text links on the IsotopeAudio website (it is the least I can do).
