The Meadows festival is one of the largest outdoor community festivals in the UK occurring every first weekend of June in Edinburgh. This recording was made in the afternoon of the final day, when the market stalls were being removed and the stage music and performances had ended.
This binaural recording is a walk through the public park, surrounded by several small groups of sunday summer recreation, coming near a wrapping drum circle #3:00, into a fairground and exploration of the rides and the overlapping of several high energy musics around #19:00, and back out into the groups of laidback people and playing children. You can hear english speaking voices but other languages can be heard.
Recorded on a DR-100 mkIII with mikroUši microphones. A low-cut of 120hz was engaged.
