There are many sounds in this recording that I have left in to give perspective to the soundscape. One would expect this little conservation park to be quiet and an easy location to get an excellent field recording. However, soon after recording commenced, a car came down a nearby road, even though the road was behind the microphone, you can hear the gravel being flicked up onto a nearby parked car! Towards the end of the recording, a man passes with a dog on a lead. Although the man gives a cheery hello, the dog growls as it passes the parked car. Could it smell the huskies that were left at home? Sony PCM-D50 post processing in DC Millenium.
