Inside recording of a WWII era DC3/C47 idling before taking off, recorded from inside the cabin. A good representation of the sound from the plane. One of my favourite recordings.
This particular plane has the designation OY-BPB, and belongs to the Danish association "DC-3 Vennerne" (The DC-3 Friends).
It was assembled on 3th April 1944, but never saw service in the war, and was bought in 1946 by SAS. Under the registration number LN-IAT, with the name Terje Viking it flew until 1953, where it was bought by The Royal Danish Airforce and was registered as K-682. It was used by the airforce until 30th July 1982.
In 1984, it was put in service as a company plane together with being showed off at airshows and the likes.
The plane was handed to the current owners in 1992, and is now being used for pleasure flights, sightseeings etc.

Beautiful sample of this plane sound. I flew on such a machine ; I was 15, 45 years ago and the sensation was fantastic and is still alive while listening. Thanks a lot. Michel
