The high-pitched, incessant whine a CRT television makes while on. Small ticks can also be heard as the TV warms up. The audio was boosted here for editing purposes, but it was fairly quiet in real life, and would ideally be played quietly in whatever you use this in as it is very annoying. The television in question is a small 14 inch PAL set, so it produces a 15,625 Hz frequency.
Please note: this sound is audible to younger people, but if you are older than about 20-30, you might not hear anything (Freesound seems to lower the pitch of the sound, so playing the audio on the Freesound website, you might hear something. Once downloaded, it should be at the correct pitch).
