Good Thunder claps. Some of the BEST thunder I ever recorded was in the summer of 1988 and 1989 in Connecticut. I've heard more violent thunderstorms in Texas, but I haven't had my recording equipment ready. These recordings came off my first professional piece of recording equipment - the Tascasm portastudio. Nice unit. Battery powered and really flexible. The only weird part was the dbx sound reduction. I don't think I used it on this recording - and that's why it's a bit hissy - still, the thunder was incredible. Most of these thunder claps rolled through before the rain. "Thunderstorm-1989-e is a recording of when the rain starts - and more violent thunder follows. Enjoy.
