This has all the elements of a classic Texas thunderstorm: wind, rain, tornado sirens and a huge peal of thunder. Conditions were right, but no tornado touched down.
Recorded sometime in June of 2007 in Arlington Texas with a Sony ECM-99 stereo microphone to SonyMD (MZ-N707)

This is PERFECT!!! We are moving from the northern border back to Texas and our dogs have never heard anything like this. I want them to acclimate a bit in advance of the move and this sound is absolutely spot on for that purpose!

Good recording! The sound of the Federal Signal 2001 siren made it all the more ominous.

That recording is EPIC!
Having never lived in an environment where Tornados occur naturally or regularly...the idea of them scares me shiftless...and that siren/thunder combination just made them a whole lot scarier!
