Squeal of transistors.wav

In "The House of Blue Leaves" a character who is concealing that she is hard of hearing suffers a catastrophic failure of her transisterized
hearing aid. Afterwards she attempts to conceal that she is deaf by
pretending to understand what people are saying to her. This sound is
played for the audience at the point of failure to motivate her removal
of the hearing aid. I created it using the FM synthesis facilities of
Adobe Audition 1.5.
