The Philips Digital Compact Cassette (DCC) was a short-lived audio format (1992-1996) that tried to combine the convenience of digital recording with backwards compatibility for analog music cassettes. Not many units were sold, fewer are still in use today. This is a series of recordings of the main sounds of a DCC 600 player / recorder. The device has been refurbished in 2024. Recorded using a Sony PCM-D50 recorder.
