Just a bit of crowd noise, instrument warm up, and tuning notes prior to a community band concert that I recorded. The selection starts about 10 minutes before the first piece of music. I had to start early because I was also a performing member of the ensemble. The recording was done using a pair of Avantone CK-1 microphones plugged into a Zoom H4n handy recorder, about 20 feet in front of the stage, and approximately 12-15 feet above the ensemble. Basic XY array.
The ensemble is the Mid America Freedom Band, please google them if you get a chance! I also have a few recordings of actual selections that I don't think I can post on here, so please feel free to request an address from me if you'd like to hear them!
