This sound was recorded at Copacabana beach, at Rio de Janeiro.
Only the sound of waves breaking in the beach can be heard most of time, but there are some fishers talking loud and screamming occasionally - there was a little boat arriving at the beach at 20 meters away from where I was recording.
I used a Saffire PRO 24 audio interface as a preamplifier and A/D converter, and a Tascam DR 100 MKII recorder to record the resulting SPDIF stream. The sound was recorded using a Sennheiser Me67 shotgun mic mounted into a MZW70 blimp windscreen with a MZH70 deadcat. The microphone was at a point 10 meters away from the surf line, pointed directly to the sea.
