I stayed in a studio apartment hotel in Philadelphia and the refrigerator that was in the kitchen (which was essentially also the bedroom) was noisy all night. I attempted to play the sounds of night crickets on a sound machine to "cover it up" to no avail.
The result is what sounds like (maybe) a noisy humming air conditioner on a hot summer night.
