Subject : Ambisonic recording of the ambiance of the top of Ginoles in France, can hear birds and distant cars in the background.
Date YMD : 2024 10 28 12H33
Location : Ginoles 11500, La Haute-Vallée de l'Aude Occitania, France.
Hardware : Zoom H2N in Spatial Audio mode. On small tripod without a wind cover.
Notes : Gain set to 10 on the recorder. Recorder pointing north.
Weather : Very cloudy grey sky, with little to no wind. Fog around the same level but not present at area of recording. Small mist of water droplets around the end of recording but very light.
Processing : None. Only renamed the file.
Tips : Due to a recent summer/winter time changed, recorder and date/time of recording is 1h in advance. True recording is at 12H33 ish not. Also time is stapped at the end of recording, I indicate time from start of recording.

Audacity is cool!
I already use it.
The issue is I'm worried when exporting 4channels audio and how to preserve the ambisonic nature of the recording. I'm not sure if other softwares will still read the channels correctly to pan each of them, or make the right mixing of them for a ambisonic playback.
Other stereo recordings, I do edit with audacity :)

Yeah I need to figure out how to process those kind of recordings.
I could probably get/use one of those Zoom remotes to remove the on/off clicking. Would still have me walking away/back but should help a bit.
Also I'm surprised that it's this quiet in "spatial audio" mode, when the gain is set to 10 on the recorder hmm
Thanks for commenting :D

Except for the turn-on and turn-off (-; this is a wonderful recording with lots of explanatory text.
