Subject : A SAECO Lirika Coffee machine making a cup before being out of water.
Date YMD : 2025 03 11
Location : Thuir's Theater reception area. Indoor France.
Hardware : Tascam FR-AV2 32bit 48khz. With a Neumann KM184 (Left) and a Rode NT5 (Right).
Weather : Mostly cloudy
Processing : Trimmed and Normalized in Audacity.
Notes : Microphones were 4cm ish appart, each pointing toward the coffee machine (recording pointing downward to the right, where the coffee comes out. About 30cm away from the machine.
Tips : Seperate L/R in mono and compare in a software.

Interesting comparison !
As expected, KM184 is sharper, with slightly lower noise floor, but NT5 is still very convincing for its price tag !
It depends on your budget, but both are good options.
