A melody for flute I composed for my track "Sickle" off of the album "A Brief History of the Means of Production", and subsequently processed with distortion and other spices to fit on the track "Ether" off of the same album.
The original melody was played using the freely available (but not freely licensed) BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover from Spitfire Audio. I contacted Spitfire to ask if uploading loops that make use of their sample libraries on freesound is allowed, and was told that it is, as long as "you're not playing a single note, where someone may take this and use it to create a new sample library." As this recording distorts the original sound so that the original samples can't be extracted from it, it should be in compliance with Spitfire's terms.
