19 March 2010 - 0303h - In my apartment block we have a rather aged lift (elevator) which breaks down often. In use it also generates some rather idiosyncratic lift sounds, which to me sound very elevator-y.
This recording includes pressing the lift button, waiting for the lift, door opening, entering the lift, door closing, pressing the destination button, descending four floors from the 4th floor to ground level, door opening, exiting the lift, door closing.
Recorded in a 1998 Ennis Lift with an Audio Technica AT8010 and a Zoom H4n digital recorder.
