Now I can see each version of the sound effect having its own purpose. The first sound effect could be used to signify a slimy enemy like a blob, the second sound effect would work in a scenario where you get trapped in slime and get small damage each time from the suffocation, and finally, the last version can be used for a standard poison status effect, all good stuff.
