Recording of a thunderstorm spawned during Hurricane Gustav on August 29th, 2008 on the Florida west coast. It was caught during the time one of the feeder bands was moving though on the east side of the storm. Numerous thunder claps can be heard with intermittent bands of heavy rain, as well as some very distant sirens towards the end. Recorded with an Olympus LS-10 and Audio Technica AT822 mic.

I may use this with a video on the last day of an installation in OKC called the blue lantern. in the preparation for the show we built a boat inside the gallery space. this audio is rhythmic and subtle. which is important to what I am trying to convey.
