I'm told these are "Midwife Toads". Recorded June 2004 at Riviere sur Tarn, Cevennes, France using a Sharp MD and Sony ECM-MS907 mic. Some French campers talking quietly in the background. Look at the purity of the sine-wave in a magnified sample.
