Here are some train sounds I recorded while riding a tourist railroad which had two floor passenger cars (Santa Fe Hi-Liners). I placed the microphone in the area where you cross between cars (which is on the upper level). Note that the sound of people can often be heard so sorry about that. The right microphone was closer to the sound source.
