Hey, can you convert this to MP3/320 so it doesn't chew up as much bandwidth as the WAV?
Don't need wav quality for a background sound effect.

You know, it's not so much the recorder as it is the mics. Many years ago, I figured that if i didn't have decent microphones, it didn't matter what any of my other equipment was. So, i saved my pennies (for a few YEARS i saved) and bought a pair of Audio-Technica 4050/CM5s. And boy was it worth it. I used those mics to record all of the "Summer" sounds. I still use these mics all the time. In fact I used them just yesterday to record a pipe organ recital. Best investment I ever made.
Even so, today, you can get similar mics for about half of what I paid ten years ago.

wow, you have made some cool ambience sounds, I wish I had such a good sound-recorder!!!
