Recorded 08/16/06 at 7:55 AM, at a hummingbird feeder, near the tiny town of Good Hart in Northern Michigan. I placed two Behringer measurement microphones with wind screens extremely close to a hummingbird feeder. You hear the beating of the birds wings and also its extremely quick chirping. I think these were Ruby Throated hummingbirds. My field guide said they don't live that far north, but they certainly didn't look anything like any other kind of hummingbird. I used a Marantz PDM660. No processing of any kind. Oh, yeah, there is a little thing called Lake Michigan in the background. A very peaceful day it was, I must say!
