It's not rain but sounds like rain - fog and damp settling in the trees as a breeze blows. Recorded in the fields above my home in the fog and damp - so sounds amplified and 'hollow'. Recorded using a Sennheiser MKE300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in Audacity; and saved as aif file. Rustling leaves can also be made out.

You wouldn't believe how much I had to dig to find the sound of rain falling on trees. And this sound worked better than most recordings I found of actual rainfall. Thanks for recording!
Here is how it got used:

Cool damp sound (although rainish). I'll be using it in my Android game "Web Raid Mobile".

Thanks, good sound!
I figured out that the right channel of the downloadable file is much lower than the left channel, but splitting the stereo track and adjusting the right channel with the normalize-funtion in Audacity made it perfect!

Thanks! Interesting alternative to a rain sound.
