Recently I watched a video of rattling ovoid magnets but I heard that kind of sound before. Finding two curious cylindrical stones shaped like big tablets with one of two faces polished and being near-spherical, I couldn’t help but to clank two of them together and find out this is the familiar sound. So here’s two recordings, this one and another one nearby.
As usual, I’m poorly describing things, and I don’t even know why those stones were of that shape, but they were.
