I recorded a feedback loop, generated by my Mackie
and Boss digital delay and played through a pair of cheap speakers,
with a SM57 to Minidisk and captured it on my computer. After that I
did a lot of processing in Soundforge using several plug-ins like DFX geometer/Ambience/Cyanide2. The result is a pulsing, popping and crackling sound. Makes me think of firecrackers.
